Colour Test 1

Here are a few very quick colour versions of the character. I think I will keep with more blue/aqua colours for future tests...

Final Character Design

The final design for the character has been chosen! I have created a rough turn around for the Nymph, with solid black lines. This does not yet reflect the final style of the animation, as I wish to play with it a bit more before finalizing it.

This is just reference for me.

Further Character Development

After the initial sketching stage of the character design process, I have chosen a handful of concepts to further develop. I cleaned up the sketched lines and played with weight of lines for stylizing the work.

For the final character the lines will not be solid black, I opted for black for now just so I could get the shape and details down before I go any further. [More to be added-scans]

Initial Sketches

Here are a collection of initial sketches I got down for my character. These were just quick sketches to try and figure out exactly what kind of shapes would work for the movement and personality of the character.

I came across a few issues when it came to how the Nymph should move, as the setting of the opening scene would require the character to be able to move around without the presence of water. I want to avoid having it just 'float' in the air, as I want to make sure it has some real weight to it, having it fly would eliminate that for the most part.

More to be added soon! [Paper sketches to scan]
